I would recommend both Topo and city select for your 60CSx. You can download
to your GPS both Too and city streets and then switch back and forth to
whatever one you want to use, whether you are urban caching and want city
streets or if you are out in the boonies and want topo maps. Brian-Team AI
actually figured out how to toggle between the two and showed me how to do
it. The 60 series has plenty of internal memory to allow you to download
both for a very wide area. With the X series, you also have the memory card,
which gives you practically unlimited memory.
If you can only afford one, and assuming you mostly cache out of town a bit,
I would recommend Topo. Topo maps do show city streets, but alot of the
newer developments and such arent on those topos. If you are driving in
older areas of the valley, all the streets are on the topo maps. The
residential streets that do appear on topo are not named however.
There is also Road and Rec.. which I think is kind of a combination of the
two. But not sure how detailed that is either way (city or boonies) as I
havent really used R and R in a long time.
