Depending on where you are, internal wireless doesn't compare to an external antenna. I agree about Tempe though. The fact that they've gone wireless rocks. The PD have wireless access to their servers to. Know what that means? Instant mugshot retrieval, among other really nifty items. Give a fake name that they've had in custody? Busted. *rimshot*

It has internal wireless network already, why would I want to buy a card? LOL Caching in Tempe is great as most of downtown is free wireless. I also found that almost everywhere I went in Berkeley, CA I could connect. Rural Maine is a whole different story though.....

If your going to have a laptop and a gps in your vehicle, you might want to spring for a wireless network card so you can borrow internet connections for getting the most up to date cache listings.
and don't forget to mark those available networks for future reference.
