Or you can come up on the driveway and have nice glass ice tea.=20
The only time Lock-Rights get difficult is when the crosspin is blocked =
by the ring gear, as mine in my 4.10 D44 was. Then you have to pull the =
whole carrier, remove the ring gear, remove the cross pin, remove the =
spider gears, install the locker, and reassemble. If the crosspin will =
come out past the ring gear, then the whole thing can stay installed and =
the crosspin comes out, spider gears come out, and locker goes in.
A pic of the blocked crosspin is photo# 6 of the gallery I linked. The =
round thing in the center is the crosspin. (Dirk.)
I have air tools (and I'm not afraid to use them) jackstands, and all =
the stuff to do the job.
With all due respect to average mechanical ability, 30 minutes or an =
hour is a bit optimistic. You'll have to remove the wheels, brake =
drums, axles (I think D35s are C-Clip axles), and then determine if the =
crosspin will come out.

Just goes to show, this boy can buy a 4x4.. drive a 4x4.. and have no =
clue what yall just said..
"Golly, Sgt. Carter, surprize, surprize. I thought them things just =
works likes they do when ya buys them"
I have come to the conclusion I will have to cammo up and go monitor =
the homestead of the TDP crew.. "Now where did I put that telescope and =
video camera"?

Decisions decisions. I really want these on, and the guy I'm buying =
the Dana35 kit from even tells me that it would take no more than an =
hour per diff to slam it out if you had NO CLUE what you were doing. A =
vague mechanical ability could do it in 30, according to him. Sooooo, =
I'll let you know in a couple days what's going to happen. If it could =
be EARLY Monday morning (I'm off work at 0630), I'd drive down after =
work before a lunch appointment in west Phoenix. I'd love to hang out =
for a few hours with you folks.

Jalene pointed out to me that my reply to this topic didn't really =
convey what I was trying to say. What I really meant to say was:
"Bring that thing on down here and we will slam that Lock-Right in =
it on my drive way in a couple hours while the wimmen go shopping or =
caching or make us food or something. It will be a slam dunk, my =
brotha."
That's what I really meant. Sunday or Monday are good days.=20

Who out there has any experience installing diff lockers on a =
Jeep? I have the Lock Right Dana 30 and will be buying the Dana 35 kit =
here in a day or so and REALLY want to get them installed. If I'm going =
to be going to the Prescott event, my mechanic connection isn't going to =
work, as that's his only Saturday off before I leave.
