Thanks for the advice, ShadowAce.  I have only been caching a year and a half, but this is the first time I have seen this type of log on my caches.  It does send a mixed message to the cache owner.  I will have to think about what I am going to do about their logs.

  That was exactly the habit I was refering to.. I never used to see this, now I see it more and more often.

  Cache owners choice at this point. You can allow them to keep the 'Finds' or you can remove there finds. 

  I know a lot of cachers will say deleting the find is evil and wrong. "You have no right to remove a find" but I would respond with Geocaching.com says find the container, sign the logbook.

  These people should have writing a DNF, a Note, or even a Should be archived. But there is log, there is no container, there is no find.  Just remember though, if you say its ok for them to keep the finds then you will have no reason to be upset when it gets to the "I got to the parking lot, thanks for the find" type of logs.

  Myself, I would email the cacher and explain why I was deleting the found log.

  I have to admit I am puzzled.  the last 4 or 5 people to find my cache "It's a Duck's Life" in Tempe logged it as a find, even though they were saying they found the "velcro."  I was puzzled about why they were logging finds but talking like it was gone.... at that point I should have checked it, but I didn't.

  Since they were all logging Smileys, I didn't give it much thought, until a cacher emailed me that it was gone and I should do something.

  Do a lot of you find this happening on your urban or other caches?  people logging finds when the cache is missing?  It's OK with me if that's how they want to play it, but I always thought "found it" means "It's there"!!
