[Az-Geocaching] batteries are they worth it?

I've been using the Energizer ACCU NiMH batteries as well as the Rayovac NiMH
batteries. I've not noticed a significant difference between the brands -
they both work about equally well. I've got 8 pairs, so plenty for a long
caching trip away from the charger. I have the Energizer charger which takes
about 6 hours to charge up to 4 batteries at a time. Be sure to get the 1600
mAh (or higher) capacity batteries - I've seen 1200 mAh batteries in the same
packaging. I've also seen 1700 mAh versions lately too. I think I paid
about $30 for the charger and 4 AA batteries about a year ago and you can buy
a pack of 4 batteries for about $11 or so at WalMart or wherever. So, for
about $40 you can havea charger and 4 pairs of batteries that you can
recharge a thousand times each, or you can buy about 40 alkalines which would
allow you to run your GPS for about 20 days or so....
